Replacing luminaires with LED technologies in the main highway sof the city


Problem description:

The city of Bell Ville has a public street lighting system, comprised mainly of sodium-vapor and high-pressure sodium-vapor lamps. These types of technologies are not as energy-efficient as LED lighting technologies, which use less electric energy (GHG emissions) and its use can save an important amount of economic resources.

Main Goal:

Replacing the current lighting system with LED luminaires in the main highways of the city, thus saving a substantial 25%in resources and reducing the production of Greenhouse Gases.

Solution Strategy:

Replacing 500 already installed luminaires in a period of six months.

Budget Details:

Requested Amount: USD 150,000

Municipal Contribution: USD 125,000

Total Amount: USD 275,000
