The city of Santa Fe participated in the Congress of Resilient Cities 2019


The Congress, which on this occasion was held in the German city of Bonn from June 26 to 28, is one of the main global forums on Urban Resilience that in the last ten years brought together about 4,000 participants, of more than 350 cities of 80 countries. Within the framework of the event, the state of local resilience, the progress made in the last decade and the performance of cities in relation to the Paris Agreement and the goal of providing local resilience from the 2030 Agenda were discussed.

The mayor of Santa Fe participated in a meeting for the EcoLogistics Project, of which the city of Santa Fe is part and also carried out various activities such as technical visits, with the aim of presenting good practices in disaster risk management and solutions based on nature and protection of cultural and natural heritage from the German perspective.

It is worth noting that José Corral is part of one of the largest delegations in this Congress, supported by ICLEI South America, and that it brings together more than 14 cities from six countries. Among these cities are: Cordoba (Argentina), Belo Horizonte, Brumadinho, Federal District, Fortaleza, Recife and Sao Paulo (Brazil), Ibague and Medellin (Colombia), Quito (Ecuador), Montevideo (Uruguay), Lurin and Lima (Peru).
