The global youth is mobilized for the climate.

Greta Thunberg is a 16-year-old Swedish student that in 2018 August made a strike in political campaign “to raise awareness about climate change, after suffering the hottest summer in 262 years”.
With this brave gesture, Greta has managed to put in climate change as a priority in the political agenda in Sweden and intervened in the COP24 in Katowice, Poland, accusing the global leaders of “behaving like irresponsible children”.

Greta's protest is not new, she has antecedents in the Climate Strike summoned in 2015 globally during the Paris Summit against Climate Change (COP21).

The new current has succumbed in the classrooms every Thursday (in some countries, on Friday) in Belgian schools, then Germany, and in a few weeks, has spread virally over 300 cities throughout the world. In Belgium, the strike begins with 3.000 students, then 10,000 the next Thursday, 35.000 after that, and double that last week, 70.000 students are striking against climate change and global warming: “The power of the schools strikes in the streets has become impossible to ignore. And has introduced ecology in the political agenda of the Prime Minister, Charles Michel”

“We don't skip class, we fight for our future. If adults don't care for our future, we neither” stating and reporting hypocrisy in a society that is imprudent and suicidal.

The movement has spread across Australia, Poland, and Germany: “Friday 18th of January -inform Globatium- 30,000 students have protested in more than 50 German cities (Berlin, Bonn, Bremen, Dortmund, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Heidelberg, Colonia, Leipzig, Munich, and many others)”

The next Thursday 14th February in some countries, -and Friday 15th in others, like United Kingdom- thousands of students will leave the classrooms empty, and march on the streets and on social media with the hashtags #youthforclimate and #FridaysForFuture; and again every Thursday and Friday till 15th march on a global strike: Global Strike for climate (#climatestrike).

Everything indicates that this march is just beginning and the next few months, there will be a lot of news of this green movement that is opening green hope between pollution and waste and toxic fumes in the planet and our lungs.

These demonstrations are spreading through the world, and soon in Spain, are a correction to the entire energetic model, common sense in front of the idiocy of adults. Stop! Give back our rivers, our forest and the sacred lands of our ancestors.

The youth is aware of the reality that ecologists have been decades announcing: an unsustainable energetic model, based on waste and inequality, a lethal mortgage on our children. We are wasting our capital and theirs in benefit of a few multinationals.
